- Secured £1 million to save Gigg Lane and return it to the heart of the community.

- Campaigning for a National Centre for Heritage Restoration at the East Lancs Railway Buckley Wells site – the home of the oldest in-use locomotive shed in the world.
We need to make sure that our area has its fair share of investment nationally, regionally and locally to support important cultural assets.
I want to see iconic local venues such as Bury Market, Gigg Lane and the Co-op Theatre in Ramsbottom being at the forefront of regeneration and new improved sporting facilities to benefit everyone. This will support health and wellbeing, create jobs and bring visitors to our towns. I want Bury, Ramsbottom and Tottington to be a cultural hub with the return of a professional football to the town and turning the Co-op Theatre into an important regional cultural facility. On top of everything else this would provide facilities that could be used 7 days per week by all residents, no matter their age, disability, sex, religion or background. Unifying our community and pride in our area.
