As we move closer to the review of what tier each region is in I wanted to bring you some of the data that I have received about the number of cases that we have in our area. There are definite positives and negatives to be taken from this data. Our case rates have decreased significantly during the national lockdown and I thank everyone for their efforts to curb the spread of the virus. However, we now find ourselves with the highest rates in Greater Manchester.
I ask everyone to please stick to the rules that have been set out to prevent the spread of the virus. We must act now to bring the rate down so that we have the best possible argument for being reassigned to tier 2 when the review takes place next week.
