Over the last year, I have been involved in the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme which sees a cross-party group of MPs visit units stationed in the UK and overseas.
It has been an honour to be able to learn more about the role of the armed forces in the modern world and speak to officers and soldiers about their experiences.
Our armed forces are absolutely incredible and I thank them for their service to our nation.
