This morning I have been taking part in the examination of the Places for Everyone plan that threatens our precious greenbelt at Walshaw and Elton Reservoir.
Due to Parliamentary business, I had to join in via video link but it was important to get the key points across, particularly the bizarre idea that Bury Council would have never noticed the opportunity for brownfield development in the town centre until just recently.
I have been campaigning for the last 6 years to remove Walshaw and Elton Reservoir from the plan and I will continue to represent the people of Bury North through these examinations.
