In Parliament today I asked the Minister a question about building a youth hub in Bury to help with youth employment and other support for young people.
Our young people have been massively impacted by the pandemic, taking a large share of the job losses that have already happened. Sadly, it is expected that even when restrictions are eased, the situation for young people will remain bleak for some time.
The team in Bury are already doing excellent work with their virtual youth hub and their other help for young people in Bury but I believe that a physical hub will give the young people of Bury the best opportunity to access the support that they need.
I welcome that the Minister Therese Coffrey also shares this vision and look forward to working with her going forward.
