This evening I spoke in the House of Commons following today's fantastic Budget from the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
I highlighted how the Community Ownership Fund is a brilliant announcement for Gigg Lane and how we now potentially have the opportunity to make sure the stadium can be bought and owned by the community in perpetuity.
The fund goes further and can be used to potentially contribute to the cost of a bid for the Co-op Music hall which will benefit so many people across Bury, Ramsbottom & Tottington.
I have also begun speaking to the Chancellor & Bury Council about investing in our World Famous Bury Market to support our fantastic traders and bringing prosperity to our town.
Our black pudding even got a mention from Mr Deputy Speaker!
