🔵 Attended meeting with the Communities Secretary to lobby for extra funding for large scale infrastructure projects in Bury under the Levelling Up Fund.
🔵Attended virtual court visit to Newcastle Court Centre as member of Justice Select Committee.
🔵Asked question in House of Commons During DWP Questions, asking that the Government provide funding for a bricks and mortar Youth Hub within Bury.
🔵Visit to Fairfield Hospital, Secretary of State attended virtually to speak with staff at the vaccination centre.

🔵Meeting with Asos regarding the future of Top Shop in Bury Town Centre.
🔵Meeting with the Chief Executive and Leader of Bury Council regarding the Borough’s potential bids to the Levelling Up Fund.
🔵Attended briefing with Senior Official based at 10 Downing Street.

🔵Meeting regarding Business Start Ups
🔵Meeting with Employment Minister regarding the Plan for Jobs and Kickstart scheme.
🔵Took part in House of Commons Debate on The Spending of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and Support for DCMS Sectors during the COVID-19 recovery.

🔵Spoke in House of Commons during Business Questions
🔵Attended briefing with Cabinet Minister on forthcoming parliamentary legislation.
🔵Elected an Officer of the APPG for Life Sciences and attended a briefing on the UK’s COVID response from former lead on Vaccine Supply, Kate Bingham.
🔵Attended a meeting on differential duty rates to support pubs get through the pandemic period.
🔵Attended meeting with the Health Secretary.

🔵Attended briefing with Vaccines Minister.
🔵Meeting with Pakistan’s High Commissioner regarding issues related to Bury North constituents.
🔵Meeting with East Lancs Railway for a rail training and employment event.
🔵Call with the Director of Eden Project North.
🔵Meeting regarding community assets and investment in Ramsbottom.
🔵Meeting with Principal of Bury College.
🗓️ Monday 15th March 🗓️
🔵Meeting with North West Reserve Forces and Cadets Association – to discuss how we can support the organisations fantastic work in Bury with young people and a review of the assets owned by the RCFA in the town.
🔵Virtual Court Visit to Liverpool Crown Court as a member of the Justice Select Committee.
🔵Asked a question in the House of Commons during Defence Questions on the Integrated Defence Review.
🔵Asked a question regarding bus services in Bury North to the Transport Secretary following the announcement of the Government’s £3 billion bus strategy.
🔵Meeting regarding the Ramsbottom Co-Op Theatre and a possible community bid for the site.

🔵Chaired Westminster Legal Policy Forum on – Next Steps for Legal Aid in England and Wales.
🔵Attended Justice Select Committee
🔵Spoke in Westminster Hall Debate in Parliament on Animal Welfare During the Pandemic.
🔵Attended MP’s briefing with the Health Secretary.
🔵Attended briefing with Government Ministers on various constitutional issues.

🔵Attended meeting with Head Teacher of local school, discussing all issues related to reopening and specifically SEND support needed.
🔵Visit to Ramsbottom Vaccination Centre.
🔵Spoke in the House of Commons on debate related to Brexit.
🔵Attended Full Meeting of Bury Council.

🔵Chaired inaugural meeting as Joint Chair of the APPG for Northern Culture regarding our enquiry as to how we can support the cultural sector as we come out of the pandemic.
🔵Meeting with Mayor of Greater Manchester and the Leader of Bury Council.

🔵Attended Briefing with Vaccines Minister
🔵Attended meeting with the Reading Agency, how government can support the existing literacy and reading programmes where the charity are currently working with Bury Library Service.
🔵Meeting regarding the Ramsbottom Co-op Theatre and how we can bring further investment and services to the town.
