Today marks the ninth anniversary of Drummer Lee Rigby’s death. His murder was particularly shocking in our communities as Bury is a proud Fusilier town.
My thoughts are with his family and friends on this difficult day and it was an honour to join members of the veteran community last night to raise funds for The Lee Rigby Foundation.
The foundation does amazing work to support veterans and their families and it was great to see so many turn out and pay their respects to Lee and raise money for this important charity.
