Today I took part in the IPT Poppy Ride in Parliament, cycling as far as I could in 5 minutes to raise funds and awareness of the Poppy Appeal.
The Royal British Legion provides a lifeline for serving personnel, veterans and their families, supporting them in the face of hardships, injuries and bereavements.
I will also be out selling poppies in Bury on Saturday with Councillor Luis McBriar in support of the charity and would urge people to wear a poppy, show their support and donate where they can.
